Industry news: Mont Blanc tunnel closure

From 1 September until 12 December, the Mont Blanc Tunnel between France and Italy will be completely closed for major renovations. More than 60 years after its construction, the tunnel vault is undergoing a thorough modernization, making it one of the first major European tunnels to receive such a deep structural renewal.

Although the renovation is necessary and will bring long-term benefits, this closure will affect freight flows across the region. Careful planning and early coordination are essential to minimize disruptions.
