Germany runs one of the most heavily regulated toll and driving-ban systems in our network, and that’s exactly where planning pays off. The LKW-Maut applies to every truck over 3.5 tonnes on motorways and federal roads, with the rate built from infrastructure cost, emissions class and a CO2 surcharge. A Euro VI truck covering 500 kilometres pays around €174. On top of that, trucks over 7.5 tonnes can’t drive on Sundays or on any of Germany’s nine public holidays, and a summer Saturday ban runs from 4 July to 29 August 2026 on the main southbound motorways toward Austria, Switzerland and Italy. We build routing and timing around all of it, so a shipment doesn’t get stuck on a Sunday because nobody checked the calendar.
